Wow what a result for the club!
Ashbourne and District Swimming Club took a team of 12 swimmers to COSACSS (City of Stoke-On-Trent Swimming Club) Open Meet on 19th and 20th September at Fenton Manor, Stoke.

The coaches were thrilled with the 10 medals won and very proud of their swimmers who got 32 PBs (person bests) out of 52 swims. The swimmers came back with an impressive haul of 4 silver and 6 bronze medals. The star was 9 year old Edward Carroll who won 2 silver and 1 bronze medal in his first Open meet.

The club’s head coach, Daf, commented “We had a fantastic result at this year’s COSACSS meet which is only the second time we have participated and with the results of our last time trails at the club, we are on a real high with the swimmers continuing to improve. There is no greater satisfaction in watching a younger swimmer develop and then see them win 3 medals in their first open gala.”
